Jun 21, 2011 If you have the USB version of the K-Line/ DCAN cable do you select USB-Serial Converter option under port selection if it is that type of cable? In other words, I don't have a USB to Serial Converter, however I am quite sure that my cable has that type of circuitry built into it. I did not know there was such a difference in cables. When I finally got the BimmerGeeks cable, it was rock solid stable, super fast transmission rate.
